Set amongst the sugar cane fields of South East Mauritius Aijoya is a self-catering extension attached to a large bungalow, with excellent facilities for disabled visitors. It is about 7 minutes drive from the airport, about 15 minutes drive from the beautiful beach and islands of Blue Bay and about 20 minutes drive from the quaint old French colonial town of Mahebourg. There are many excellent beaches and restaurants and supermarkets within easy driving distance. There is a bus to Mahebourg every half hour.
Aijoya offers the folowing accomodation:-
- Bedroom 1 with four poster double bed.
- Bedroom 2 with two twin single beds.
- Bedroom 3 suitable for a disabled person with adjustable single bed, wheelchiar recharging point and adjacent wet room with toilet and shower and all necessary support rails.
- Family bathroom with toilet, basin, and large shower with lots of hot water.
- Lounge with comfortable seating for six plus dining table and chairs.
- Kitchen with low level wheelchair accessible units equipped with microwave and hob.
- Utility room with freezer and washinng machine.
- Covered patio with garden furniture and good views of surrounding sugar cane fields and distant sea.
- Off road parking for two cars.
- All rooms and the patio are wheelchair accessible with wide doors and ramps.

If required we can arrange for a wheelchair accessible vehical to meet you at the airport. We can also arrange guided tours of the Island in a wheelchair accessible vehical or in a four wheel drive vehical with a driver who can speak both French and English. Our vehicals can also take you to local restaurants and beaches and return later to take you back to Aijoya.
You can rent Aijoya from £500 to £600 per week depending on time of year. This includes linen, towels, hot water, electricity, and maid service.
